Loss prevention for active traders
Win by not losing.
Turtle Terminal sits between you and your broker and refuses the trades that would break your own limits. Position size, daily loss, leverage, re-entry: the order that breaks a rule never leaves. The losses you do not take are the edge that compounds.
14 days free. No card. A training account with a month of history is included, so the first thing you see is a journal, not an empty screen.

The numbers that matter
- < 800 ms
- Pre-trade rule check
- Every order is checked against your rules before it reaches the broker.
- 60 s
- Account re-check
- Positions and fills come back and the rules run again on what actually happened.
- 14

- Exposure, losses, behaviour, sanity, control. Your numbers in every one.
- $0
- Held by us
- Your broker executes and keeps custody. We only send the orders you approve.
How a loss is prevented
Four stations between you and the fill.
The order you are about to place is checked against your account as it is right now, at the worst plausible price. Pass, warn or block. A block is one sentence with the numbers in it.
- 01
You write the limit as a sentence
Block a buy that would take one symbol above 10% of my equity. Pause new positions after a 2% daily loss for 120 minutes. Your numbers, your rules, in words you can read back.
- 02
The order is checked before it leaves
The ticket runs your rules against your account at the estimated fill price. A block stops the order where it stands and says why.
Under 800 ms
- 03
Your broker fills what passed
Turtle Terminal submits the order and stores the response verbatim. Custody, execution and statements stay where they are.
- 04
The account is re-checked after every sync
Fills and positions come back and the rules run again on the real state. Loss limits arm cooldowns. Trades placed around the terminal are found and journaled as unguarded.
Every 60 s in market hours
What it looks like
The trade that never happened.
Three losses before lunch. The daily loss rule pauses new positions for two hours. Whatever the fourth trade would have done, it never happened. That is the product, and it is the whole month.
- 01
The rule fires before the loss, not after
The check runs on the hypothetical position, at the worst plausible price plus a slippage buffer you set. The bad trade is stopped where it stands.
- 02
The reason has the numbers in it
"Blocked" is not an answer. The block says which rule, what it measured and what the limit was, and stores the version of the rule that produced it.
- 03
You can always get out
Every rule but the kill switch lets closing orders through. Stale data, a broker outage or an engine error means you can reduce risk and not add it.
Today's loss is 2.63% of starting equity; your limit is 2%. Opens pause for 120 minutes.
Order refused. Existing positions can still be closed. The pause ends at 16:05 or when you decide to stop for the day.
Built like a ledger
Every decision leaves a row.
Append-only
Snapshots, fills, blocks and the audit log are never updated or deleted. Corrections are new rows. History is reconstructible to the minute.
Every block has a reason
One sentence with the numbers, stored with the version of the rule that produced it and the account state it saw.
The escape hatch is always open
Every screen links to your broker. A rule can stop an order in Turtle Terminal; it can never lock you out of your own account.
